It also treats stomach flu symptoms through a combination of natural compounds. EnvirGen was founded in November 2007, when Hoshin Park and his colleague Ikro Joeapproached Kansas State University professor Kyeong-Ok Chang about commercializing his norovirus research. Chang, EnvirGen's chief scientific adviser, has studied norovirus for the last decade and recently received a $5.1 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to continue that research.
