Core DNA Sequencing on-campus service fees
At the Carver Biotechnology Center, low-throughput (LT) and medium-throughput (MT) sequencing orders are processed through the Core Facility. LT orders are defined
as 1-95 sequencing reactions submitted at any one time. MT order are defined as 1-11 96-well plates
of sequencing reactions submitted at any one time. Samples must be submitted in plate format to receive the MT rate reduction. Note: Orders that consist of 12 or more 96-well plates qualify for a high-throughput sequencing discount. Please see the HT pricing page for more information.
Sequencing option
- $5 per sample for LT or $307.20 per plate for MT
- Service includes sequencing reaction, column purification and electrophoresis on the ABI3730XL
- Template prep is available for an additional $5 per sample for LT or $384 per plate for MT
Ready to load (RTL) option
- $2.50 per sample for LT or $163.20 per plate for MT
- Service includes column purification and electrophoresis on the ABI3730XL
Additional Services
- Sequence editing up to 800bp: $10 each
- Full color chromatogram printouts: $1 each

Facility users other than State of Illinois institutions are subject to a 25.3% indirect cost rate for federally funded projects.
